London, UK and Paris, France - October 27, 2008 - Mignot Hospital, an 800-bed facility within the Versailles Hospital System in France, announces the deployment of an Extricom Wireless LAN (WLAN), to mobilize patient data to the bedside and enable medical staff to achieve a new level of care, responsiveness and productivity. At the heart of the project was the mobilization of the hospital's Picture Archiving and Communications System (PACS), a tool that enables users to securely access digital images such as x-rays, in real-time, anywhere in the facility. In doing so, Versailles Hospital System can accelerate patient diagnosis and replace expensive film development.
